Paweł Borek

Mr. Paweł Borek is an experienced attorney-at-law with over a dozen years of practice in the broadly understood field of food law.
He represents clients in disputes with authorities, including but not limited to Trade Inspections, the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, Sanitary Inspections, Voivodeship Inspectors of Commercial Quality of Agricultural and Food Products, and Veterinary Inspections. He is the author of dozens of complaints to Voivodeship Administrative Courts and the Supreme Administrative Court, among others in the areas of food law, construction law, zoning, and land development.
Since 2014, he has been a member of the Food Lawyers Network, an organization that brings together practicing lawyers from around the world specializing in food law.
He collaborates as an expert with the portal foodfakty.pl, where he publishes his articles on food law. Moreover, his articles have appeared, among others, in the European Food and Feed Law Review. In the publications of the Food Lawyers Network, he writes chapters concerning Polish law.
He is also involved in the protection of trademark rights; he has represented clients before the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, as well as before the EUIPO.
He began gaining professional experience during his studies, working at the Local Government Appeals Board in Gdańsk; he also worked in law firms. For a period of 10 years, he was the director of legal departments of several companies operating in the IT, food, and fintech industries; he was also the director of the legal department of a company based in Ireland dealing with the sale of dietary supplements in the European Union. He has established dozens of companies in Poland and abroad, including in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy. He continually collaborates with foreign law firms.
He provides client services in English and also speaks German.
A graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Gdańsk, he has been practicing as an attorney-at-law since 2007.
Privately, he is an enthusiast of science fiction and fantasy literature, as well as comics. His passion for sports was instilled by judo training. A mountain lover who still has unfinished business with Aconcagua.
